The ‘Keep VAT at 9%’ campaign is spearheaded by the RAI and is at the very heart of the restaurant, tourism and hospitality sectors. Not only does the reduced VAT rate have a positive impact on business, it benefits the nation as a whole.

– 10,000 Jobs created since the VAT was reduced in July 2011

– 6,500 jobs in the Tourism and Restaurant Industry since July 2011

The RAI stress that keeping VAT at 9% is vital to the future of food, tourism and jobs in Ireland. They want everyone involved in the hospitality sector to send a message to the Government – if you want to support food, tourism & jobs – Keep VAT at 9% – because everyone wins.
