CBE Raises €13,500 for Children’s Charities at 45th Annual Convention

CBE is proud to announce that a total of €13,500 was raised for charity during its recent 45th Annual Convention & Awards Ceremony, with funds split equally between two vital local children’s charities — Mayo Autism Camp and Cancer Fund for Children (Daisy Lodge). Each organisation received €6,750.

In the lead-up to the Convention, CBE staff members generously contributed through a dedicated GoFundMe campaign. Demonstrating its continued commitment to social responsibility, CBE matched the full amount raised by staff, penny for penny, effectively doubling the impact of the donations.

The selected charities provide essential services to children and families across the region. Mayo Autism Camp offers inclusive, supportive experiences for children with autism, while Cancer Fund for Children’s Daisy Lodge provides therapeutic short breaks for children affected by cancer and their families.

Speaking about the fundraiser, CBE Managing Director Gearóid Concannon said:
“The generosity shown by our staff has been truly inspiring. By matching their donations in full, we were delighted to significantly increase the support given to two outstanding charities that make a real difference to children and families. As a family business with strong local roots, CBE remains committed to supporting meaningful causes and giving back to the community”

This fundraiser also reflects CBE’s long-standing commitment to charitable causes. Up until 2025, CBE’s corporate charity was Protect the Children of Kenya, founded by Claremorris native Janet Hinchion, supporting vulnerable children through education, healthcare, and community development.

As CBE marks its 45th year, the company thanks its staff for their generosity and looks forward to continuing its support of local communities in the years ahead.”
